NOTICE OF ELECTION VERNON COUNTY AMBULANCE DISTRICT
Election of two (2) directors of the Vernon County Ambulance District will be held on April 7, 2026.
Filing for sub-district no 2 and sub-district and sub-district 4 Open Dec 09,2025and will close December 31, 2025.
Candidates for sub-district no. 2 must reside in the following township precincts: HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MOUNDVILLE TOWNSHIP, DRYWOOD TOWNSHIP, & CENTER TOWNSHIP. OUTSIDE OF NEVADA, MO.
DESCRIPTION: THAT PART OF VERNON COUNTY THAT LIES SOUTH OF NEVADA CITY LIMITS, AND 2 MILES EAST OF HIGHWAY #43, AND 2 MILES SOUTH OF KK HIGHWAY, AND EAST OF KANSAS / MISSOURI STATE LINE AND NORTH OF VERNON / BARTON COUNTY LINE AND 2 MILES EAST OF US 71/ 149 AND WEST TO STATE LINE, SHALL BE KNOW3 AS SUB-DISTRICT #2 AND SHALL BE A 3 YEAR TERM.
Candidates for sub-district no. 2 must reside in the following township precincts: CITY
PRICINCTS #6, #7, AND Ward #8 OF WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP.
DESCRIPTION: THAT PART OF VERNON COUNTY THAT LIES EAST OF NEVADA CITY LIMITS AND SOUTH OF
NEVEADA CITY LIMITS AND NKT RAILROAD AND LIES WEST OF CHESTNUT STREET, THEN NORTH OF HICKORY STREET, ANS WEST OF CEDAR STREET, AND NORTH ATLANTIC STREET AND WEST OF NEVADA CITY LIMITS, AND NORTH OF NEVADA CITY LIMITS SHALL BE KNOWN AS SUB-DISTRICT #4.
A candidate for Director of Board of Directors of the Vernon County Ambulance District shall at the time of filing be a citizen of the United States, a qualified voter of the election district, a resident of the State of Missouri for one (1) year preceding the election and at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
A candidate shall file his declaration of candidacy with the Vernon Cunty Clerk at the Vernon County Court House; Nevada MO A candidate shall file a statement under oath that he or she possesses the required qualification. No candidate’s name shall be printed on any official ballot unless the candidate has filed a written declaration of candidacy by December 30, 2025.
